Facebook avatar: how to create avatar from photo

Facebook has rolled out its avatar for users to be able to produce cartoon version of themselves. These avatars are like snapchat bitmojis or Apple’s Animoji.




Gone are the days when Facebook users use only the generic sad, happy, angry or thumbs up emojis to express their emotions on Facebook.

When you set up the avatar version of yourself, you can use it as a sticker in comments, stories, and messages on Facebook.

You can use your Facebook avatar as a sticker in apps like Snapchat, Twitter, Mail and Instagram.

Steps to create Facebook avatar

 

To create your own Facebook avatar, the following steps will act as a guide to help you create a wonderful and stunning cartoon image of yourself i.e Facebook avatar. It wont take up much of your time, just about 10 minutes to set up.

Try out this new feature with these steps:


Step 1: Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Scroll down and tap “See More.”

Step 3: Tap “Avatars.”

Step 4: Tap “Next.”

Step 5: Tap “Get Started.”

Step 6: Select your preferred skin tone (there are 27 options) and tap “Next” at the bottom of the screen.

Step 7: You'll then be instructed to choose a hairstyle for your avatar. You can select Short, Medium or Long for a variety of styles. Once you've made your selection, tap the Color icon.

Step 8: Next, you'll move on to your avatar's Face icon, where you'll select the face shape, complexion and face lines.

Step 9: After you've customized the face, tap the Eye icon. Select an eye shape, color and lash length. Then move on to the Eyebrows icon and select the brow shape and color. You can also add glasses.

Step 10: Now it's time to customize the nose and mouth. Select your nose shape and then move on to your mouth shape. You can also add a lip color and facial hair.

Step 11: Next, select a body shape. Once you do this, you can choose an outfit that you like best. You can also choose to add a hat, scarf or cat ears to your avatar's outfit.

Step 12: When you’re done customizing your Avatar, tap the checkmark icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 13: Tap “Next.”

Step 14: Tap “Done.”

Now that you’ve created your avatar, you can leave this menu and start using your personalized avatar stickers in comments, stories and more throughout the Facebook app.
