If you always stream videos online (especially season movies) whether with YouTube or Netflix, it is important to note that any video that you watch and your phone screen is lit for a long period of time, it can cause the phone GPU to overwork hereby causing the phone to overheat.
6. Even some malware (malicious app that usually hangs online) when they enter a phone, they normally corrupts the phone’s CPU together with the memory and as a result causes the CPU to generate excessive heat.
7. You can adapt turning the Airplane mode of your phone on as it still allows you to continue normal function of your phone but helps to stop all other active unused app on your phone.
8. Also avoid exposing your phone to direct sunlight for a long time as it can easily overheat your phone.
Ways to cool down overheated phone
As we have already discussed what causes your phone to heat up excessively leading to battery drainage and how to stop it. We are now going to throw more light on how to cool down this excessively hot phone. There are many known ways that can help in cooling down an overheated phone.
1. Get rid of any outer covering of the phone, be it a phone cover or phone casing. This is because they act as a cover or insulator to the phone. Remove it and then allow the phone to cool down naturally.
2. Turn off any unused app that always run on the background of your phone. This is because they normally cause the phone to heat up which leads to battery drainage.
3. Also turn off your phone Bluetooth, Wi-Fi among others if not in use. They can help to prevent phone overheating and even preserve the battery life of your phone.
4. Always tone down the brightness of your phone when in use or you can turn on the adaptive brightness of your phone.
5. Always keep your phone applications up to date. Updating your phones app increases the apps efficiency because the more you update your phone apps, the less likely the app will generate excess heat to your phone.
6. Beware of your phone charger or cable. Change any malfunction cable because they can damage your cable port and lead to heating up of the phone.
7. Avoid exposing your phone to extreme temperatures that can cause strain to the components of your phone.
