Google Pixel 4A Review | Check Out Specs, Prices and Launch Date

Google Pixel 4A is so far the very best smartphone Google has ever produced and not only is it the best but also the cheapest phone. The Pixel 4A has some interesting features like a great camera that can capture excellent pictures and it is a high quality, reasonably sized android phone. Google has finally succeeded to produce a smartphone with all the basic essentials and they are all working perfectly. The phone is just great and it is less expensive.

Google Pixel 4A is a great way for people to use Google android version of smart phone that is very cheap (less than one-third price of their counterpart). This has not been done for a long time. So if you are looking for a normal smart phone that is not so flashy but in features and body, you can always go for Pixel 4A. Pixel 4A has an impressive storage capacity of 128GB, has a long lasting battery life and has a headphone jack. This is a very big upgrade over its predecessor.

Google Pixel 4A, when compared to other smart phone of its caliber (smart phones rivals that are just like pixel 4a), you will notice that the pixel 4a holds no candle to their rivals. It has less RAM, less battery life, an even smaller screen with few camera plus no 5G connectivity. It is being said though that the pixel 4a 5G smartphone will be arriving much later in 2020 including the Google pixel 5 with 5G connectivity too.

The phone is reasonably sized thereby allowing people to wrap their hands completely around the phone. It has a matte black plastic back that is smooth to feel. It is a curvy poly carbonate phone and it is light in weight which makes it easy to hold and use. It comes in only black color for now.

Google Pixel 4A Price

Another good thing about this pixel 4a is the cheap price. It is worth to note that the price of pixel 4a still remains $349/ £349 / AU$599 which is less than one-third price of their rival phones and that is also $50 / £50 / AU$50 cheaper than the launch price of its predecessor. This price is a very good advantage for the pixel 4a.

Google Pixel 4A Launch Date

Google has declared that the delay on the launch of pixel 4a was due to the COVID 19 pandemic. The date of Pixel 4A launch in US is now moved to August 20th which is so close to the usual October Pixel launch date while other regions launch dates will take a bit longer. The Pixel 4A release date in Australia is scheduled for September 10, while the Pixel 4A release date in the UK is also fixed for October 1st with pre-orders starting on September 10 which is precisely two months after the phone's launch. We are waiting for google to announce date for their next phones - Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5.

The Google Pixel 4A is by far much cheaper than their counterparts the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. The design of the phone is very minimal, with the fingerprint scanner located at the center and the square camera block is located at the top-left corner on the rear.

The phone has a lesser-spotted headphone socket. The bottom has a universal USB-C socket for power and its stereo speakers are very good. There’s no wireless charging or any official water-resistance rating. It also comes in a single version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The battery life of the phone is also very good for a relatively small and light phone. It lasts up to 31 hours between charges, which is significantly longer than the larger Pixel 3A XL and iPhone SE (both 27 hours). The Google Pixel 4A ships with an 18W fast charger that takes 90 minutes to fully charge the phone, hitting 50% in half an hour.

The screen is better than most flagships this year and that’s pretty impressive. It uses the same 12.2MP Sony IMX363 rear sensor as the Pixel 4, Pixel 3, and Pixel 3a but its software has progressively made image output better. The Pixel 4A also adopts features from the Pixel 4 series, such as Astrophotography Mode and the dual exposure sliders.

The Pixel 4A produces quality images similar to those of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 3A. The images have great color, dynamic range and still maintains more contrast than other devices currently on the market. Many smartphone cameras will just brighten shadows too much, which may lead to a flat image without enough contour. The Pixel 4a adds just enough while maintaining shadow and highlight detail, leading to a very pleasing and excellent image.
